The Don’t Mess with Texas Litter Cube is coming to San Antonio to help people understand just how big a problem litter is on Texas roads. The Litter Cube operates with clean litter blowing around a clear, plastic booth, challenging participants to attempt to grab trash and stuff it inside a litterbag. Event visitors and participants who correctly answer litter trivia questions and win litter prevention games are eligible to receive Don’t Mess with Texas promotional items.
The 2010 Don’t Mess with Texas outreach tour is stopping at signature events this summer to convince Texans not to litter and to encourage others to prevent littering. The Litter Cube will also pop up at Buc-ee’s convenience stores — a Don’t Mess with Texas partner — throughout the summer. Other key partners include McDonald’s and Sweet Leaf Tea.
WHEN/WHERE:
Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 11 AM– 6 PM

Participants can simply observe activities or climb into the Don’t Mess with Texas Litter Cube. Don’t Mess with Texas roadies will distribute campaign T-shirts, bumper stickers, and litterbags. Roadies will also take photos for the new Don’t Mess with Texas photo album, which is open to all individuals for posting pictures representative of what Don’t Mess with Texas means to them (DontMesswithTexas.org). Litter trivia games and the new Litter-ball game will spread a consistent message — litter is all fun and games until it ends up on Texas roads.
